My wife has now obtained a temporary court order

My wife has now obtained a temporary court order giving her full custody and baring me from any visitation and she has gotten the court to give her almost $600 child support. Apparently my attorney was either not aware or neglected to tell me there is a law that states that, if you are convicted of an offense of a sexual nature in your past, you can be denied visitation until the court can determine if you are safe to be around your kid. As stated previously, I had been a victim of the “Child Abuse Which Hunts” in the …

Disabled dad needs help

Hello everyone, I’m new here… Does anyone know how I might petition the court in New Mexico, (I live in Georgia), to set aside an original decree, based on the fact that I had no representation during the divorce? Barring that, how about some advice on how to get child enforcement to recognize that the original order intended that the c/s be discontinued when each child reached 18. I have two children, one is 20, the other is 17. I am STILL paying $600/mo for the oldest child and $600/mo for the youngest. I foolishly agreed to this in 1992, …

Joined after getting an invitation from someone

Hello everyone. My name is Ken and I have joined after getting an invitation from someone. My children are adults and I have been happily married for 23 years, so this community would not apply to me “directly” I am here however to give support to any that I can. I am the founder to the largest community that deals with abuse and this is very remarkable since we deal in two of the most politically incorrect areas in our society…abuse “men” and we do it from a Biblical point of view. This community as nearly 500 members. One more …

I can share this

I recently went to family court in Milwaukee County, got this: 50% physical and legal custody Ex fined 600.00 for contempt 1/3 of medical 200.00 set amount, I was paying about 575.00 per month. The who;e thing is a dirty battle, you need a dirty lawyer that will play dirty. Here’s one example: My ex lost her right to drive for having too many tickets but kept driving, the lawyer informed the police in the city she worked, I called the police to file a complaint because she was driving, they came to her work, I told the police the …

Believe it or not it wasn’t that hard

We simply asked for a court date. Explained our situation to the judge, and let her rant and rave and rant some more. My husband stood mute while she ranted and refused to become involved in her stupidity. When it was his turn to speak he just asked the judge, explaining that he really wanted to be able to spend more quality time with his children. Which is all he wanted. We have since discovered that this is pretty standard here in Michigan. Both parents are to share the transportation. It was never given to us before because we where …

I’m with Martin on this!

How did you present it? I go through travel expenses i.e. airfare, rental cars, hotel, etc. I only get to see my daughter once about every one and half months because of this. Frequency in visitation could increase if there was some help on the other end or reasonable consideration. The visits are important too! I have considered relocating to the state my daughter lives in, but who is to say the mother will not uproot and leave that state. Any ideas?

I went to court yesterday

Well, I went to court yesterday and got my ass handed to me on a platter! Now I am seriously considering applying for bad credit installment loan as my ex brought a criminal defense attorney and he did what I expected, he started arguing the legal residence and custody of my son rather than the actions of my ex. She lied on the stand with impunity as I had no way to prove she was lying. I did catch her in one , she said she had never signed a court order detailing custody. I produced a copy and gave it to the judge. he ruled …

How did you get the court to share transportation

hi, I’m new here – how did you get the court to share transportation of the children for visitation? my ex-wife won’t pay for anything, and i have to break my neck to travel by plane cross country fitting it into a work schedule, and renting cars and staying at relatives houses and asking them for favors, etc, to get my kids, then to bring them back, i have to do it all over again, because we live so far away from each other. yet, they’re reviewing the support order, and the hearing officer listed things he’d take into account, …

I am a father of 2 who shares joint legal and physical rights

My name is Richard. I am a father of 2 who shares joint legal and physical rights of my 2 kids with their mother in Florida. Their mother is trying to get me out of my children lives by accusing me of abusing my kids. I did not. What surprises me most is that the Florida department of children and families are dragging me into court in an effort to try and have my kids declared dependent. I was never arrested, never charged nor have I ever been interviewed by this agency or any law enforcement agency in this state. I do have a lawyer and …

First off, I would like to commend you for your efforts

Pepe, First off, I would like to commend you for your efforts to be there for your child. I know it’s very frustrating and nerve-racking when the other parent frustrates visitation. I have taken my ex to court on several occasions for this reason. I can relate with you on the Judge not doing anything when the other parent violates the order. I am the NCP and we have shared parenting. I think the court system calls it joint custody. Anyway, we are separated by 1500 miles and this causes problems during visitation. The best thing I can tell you …

I also wanted to share with you

My name is Pepe and I also wanted to share with you that after I took my ex to court two times, out of pure frustration because I would not stop trying, she relinquished alot of time with our son. The Judge signed the judgment giving me; Every weekend with my son from Fri. at 6:00pm to Sun. at 6:00pm, Shared Parental Responsibility, Split up Holidays, etc., One month vacation time with my son in the summer, And a clause preventing her from relocating past a certain amount of miles. I’m not saying that I got the best deal in …

Good news for once…

Just thought we would drop a note to let everyone know to keep trying to get what you want from the courts. Today we got an order giving us pretty much everything we requested including: a reduction in child support, she has to share transportation of the children for visitation (we live 180 miles apart), and modified visitation. I quote the court. “It is in the best interests of the children to continue to maintain as close a relationship as possible with the defendant even thought it is difficult due to the relocation”. Its wonderful that this and other groups …

Sounds like quite an explosive situation

My first question is this, Who have you paid over 3000 to? I have never heard of an abortion costing over 500, let alone in the thousands, and there are places all over California where they will do them for free. If you have given the money to her directly I would question the very pregnancy itself. I am from California and a woman so I can tell you first hand how this works. A woman goes in for an abortion, she is counseled and it is up to the counselor to say if she should of should not go …

Question about getting someone pregnant

I unfortunately appear to have gotten someone pregnant 7 or 8 weeks ago. I am not interested in her and she is very emotional and had a horrible temper. We talked and she is getting an abortion but will only do it at a very expensive hospital in LA. I feel like I am being extorted. I have paid over $3000 and she wants $1500 more for hospital time she went in but could not have the procedure done because she was upset with me. She threatens me frequently about taking me to court. I am not sure if I …

I read your message

I read your message and my heart goes out to your husband. My ex-wife is a prime example of PAS if there ever was one. She grew up a spoiled rich girl and now expects the world to cower at her feet. She constantly tells my 9 year old son that I don’t love him, care for him and usually in the most vile and profane terms she can muster. It is her contention that because I abide by our consent order and demand that she does too I am hurting our son. Luckily for me I provide the primary …

Many of your posts are heartrending

Hi to all in EDCO Club, Many of your posts are heartrending and my prayers and thoughts go out to you. My husband is a victim of PAS and has not seen his children in over a decade. They are now 17 (almost 18) and 20 y/o. The “Ex” has triumphantly informed us that “she has not told ‘the children’ that they cannot see their father…they can contact him whenever they wish.” Of course, there is no contact. One thing that has been of help has been the research on the internet regarding Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS). It has given …

There is one thing

There is one thing that parents involved in a divorce forget, and the court systems cause from day one of any divorce action. The courts place the children in the middle of a already heated battled. Picking one parent over the the other, as the Custodial parent. The court forcing one parent to feel better that the other. And from day, one, one or both parents begin to use the children has a tool over the other. And it is the Child/children who end up being forced to pick one over the other. And it is the Child/children that are …
